Motherless Brooklyn Movie Review and Thoughts (Spoiler-Free Review)
I am yet to see a movie where Edward Norton plays as if he’s not even playing. To be precise, I don’t think I’ll ever come across such a movie, because this phenomenal actor is, in my opinion, the best in business. I was stunned watching Norton’s debut performance in Primal Fear (1996) where he outplayed a dinosaur of the cinema Richard Geere. Then in Painted Veil (2006) he was once again impressive in a dramatic role. In The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) Norton demonstrated how much of a versatile actor he was. In Motherless Brooklyn he’s the script writer, producer, and director, so my expectations were very high. I can definitely say that I wasn’t disappointed, but would I 100% recommend it? *suspence intensifies*

5 very practical tips to stop comparing yourself to others and embrace who you are by shifting the focus from the outside to the inside
You, whoever you are reading this, are amazing. And nope, I don’t mean it in a cheesy way – I truly believe that every person has something unique and valuable to offer to the world. I am convinced that everyone needs to embrace who they are and always compare themselves to themselves as they were yesterday – not other people.
I would be silly of me to deny the evolutionary benefit of comparing ourselves to others. As social animals, we learn all kinds of things by comparing ourselves to others, however when this natural reaction becomes the reason why you feel inferior to other people and lose faith in yourself, something needs to be done.
Here are 5 practical tips (can’t stand those ‘just try to focus on what you like about yourself’ advice) how to stop comparing yourself to others in a way that causes you stress and harms your confidence.

This post is a tribute to this admirable and fascinating woman – Eartha Kitt
“I am learning all the time. The tombstone will be my diploma”
— Eartha Kitt
Eartha Kitt. I think the words ‘unstoppable force’ and ‘survivor’ are the first thing that comes to mind when I read about her, see her performances, or watch her interviews. For me, she’s the one who leaves all role models behind with her perseverance, grit, energy, honesty, courage, and spirit. Her unique and powerful energy is obvious even from the way she performed in shows and movies same as in her photographs. This post is a tribute to this admirable and fascinating woman.

― Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
This post is a tribute to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who is known not only for being the wife of John F. Kennedy. She’s admired for strong character, hard work, elegance, and bravery. When I’m reading her biography and quotes, the first word that comes to my mind is ‘wise’ and it makes me think that she’d be an excellent role model for any girl or woman.

10 Reasons why I don’t watch beauty YouTubers anymore. No shade or ‘spilling the tea’ – just my own honest experience
No featured image for this post – I don’t mean any influencer in particular, but beauty YouTubers with big following as a whole. Not that long ago I stumbled upon an article titled ’10 beauty bloggers you MUST follow’ and it inspired me to write a whole post about it. Well, first of all, I am choosing my own heroes and people to be inspired by. I’ve just started blogging and I’ve already found so many awesome fellow bloggers who inspire me in such a genuine way (girls, you know who you are – I’m your new regular reader ❤️), that YouTube and Instagram simply fall short. Secondly, I’m all about no bullsh*t all day every day and seeing things as they are. Finally, I’m struggling to validate spending time watching this type of content when I can be investing it in something much more valuable. Warning: BRUTAL HONESTY!

Watching these 3 creators (and certified trainers) has changed the way I view fitness in several important ways. I’ve stopped bullsh*tting myself and making excuses (e.g. that a Snickers bar is alright if I’m on my period and want something sweet – I was actually destroying my health in every possible way by doing that). I’ve learned about elimination diet (thanks to Swolenormous – thank you, Papa Swolio) and how to relieve pain and tension in the neck with a simple towel in 2 minutes from Jeff Cavaliere (those of you who have a sedentary lifestyle will appreciate this too – I’ll pack this post with links to my favorite videos). Well, and getting yelled at by an angry bold man helps sometimes too (a nod to Every Damn Day Fitness). Let’s roll!

A terrifying story about the crush of a family, spousal envy, vengeance, victimization, and manipulation that can be analyzed for hours. I won’t waste your time retelling the plot – I’ll just give my honest review. Spoilers ahead!
