Hello and welcome to my blog in 2021! Today I can’t wait to share my thoughts on this gel foam cleanser because I’ve bought by mistake – thought I was ordering my favorite Nature Republic aloe vera foam cleanser. This cleanser isn’t on par with its foam counterpart and I’ve made a full ingredient list analysis to try and see why exactly.Continue reading “NATURE REPUBLIC Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera Cleansing Gel Foam Review & Ingredient Analysis”
Hello and welcome ❤️ This is a post I wish I would find several months ago when I was trying to find how the Missha Premium Aloe Soothing Gel differs from Missha Premium Cica Aloe Soothing Gel. To everyone curious whether one is different from the other at all – all the details are in this post.Continue reading “MISSHA Premium Aloe Soothing Gel VS MISSHA Premium Cica Aloe Soothing Gel”
Jolse haul review
Hello and welcome ❤️ Finally I got to ordering and reviewing my third order from Jolse – a K-beauty online store that ships directly from Seoul. For months shipping was way too expensive (due to the global pandemic), but I was able to place an order during the Black Friday sale. It took Jolse 2 weeks to ship my order, but I received it within 3 days by DHL. Let’s see what I got 😊Continue reading “JOLSE K-Beauty Unboxing & Review #3”
Can Kibbe Gamines have long hair and is it a safe bet to cut hair short?
Hello and welcome ❤️ This post is my take on the hair length for Gamines in the Kibbe system. In the 1987 book Metamorphosis David Kibbe clearly states that long hair doesn’t work on Gamines. In this post I want to investigate why. Using verified examples I will also illustrate that Gamines shouldn’t just cut their hair short as soon as they find out their image identity and that the choice of hairstyle is as important as length.Continue reading “Can Gamines Have Long Hair? w/Examples”
Hello and welcome to my monthly movie recap! I’ve been into classic films lately, so I’ve got 5 pretty old films on the list this time, all ranging from very good to sublime. Is Kibbe’s system still usable if the book was published three decades ago? I say ‘yes’! This post is ultimately about how I apply this system – not ‘how to dress if you’re a Soft Gamine’.
Greetings ❤️ This is an updated follow-up post to how I got to know and love Kibbe’s Metamorphosis. I am a Soft Gamine, but this post will probably be relevant for anyone interested in Kibbe’s system because I’ll share how I actually apply it. To me, the main thing about applying Kibbe’s system in practice is understanding my Yin-Yang balance. I don’t follow book recommendations to every last detail, however I find them extremely helpful regardless. Also, this post is ultimately about how I apply this system – not ‘how to dress if you’re a Soft Gamine’. Let’s begin!Continue reading “How I Actually Use Kibbe’s System for Head-To-Toe Looks (updated)”
Hello and welcome to my monthly movie recap! 4 animated films and 6 films, including some awesome finds and mild disappointments. As always, no spoilers!Continue reading “Monthly Movie Recap: October 2020”
Hello and welcome ❤️ Image identities in Kibbe system don’t overlap – they are like planets in the Solar System and each one is absolutely unique and independent from others, but still exists by the same rules. The whole idea of comparing two image identities thereby can be considered nonsensical because how can one compare incomparable things? That being said, I think looking at two image identities side by side can be very useful in the process of learning them, in order to understand them. So consider this kind of post as not a comparison, but merely a closer look at these image identities that can be often confused because they share several important features. In my previous post I analyzed Soft Gamine vs Theatrical Romantic, now Soft Natural vs Romantic.Continue reading “Soft Natural vs Romantic in Kibbe System w/Examples”
Aloe vera gel is a staple in my skincare/makeup bag at all times. It saved my skin countless times and, even though I have aloe vera plants at home, I always have a jar of aloe vera gel on hand. I bought this gel to replace my Missha Premium Aloe Soothing Gel that I reviewed earlier and, low and behold, liked this one even more.Continue reading “MISSHA Premium Cica Aloe Soothing Gel Review & Ingredients”
