Sunshine Blogger Award!

Sunshine Blogger Award! ☀️

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I proudly present my take on the Sunshine Blogger Award! I’m incredibly grateful to Be Beautifuls for the nomination and feel very honored to participate. Let’s proceed to the Award!

First of all, a few more words about my nominator! If you haven’t checked Be Beautifuls blog, I’d definitely recommend you do so – I’ve been a follower for months and always rush to read every post as soon as I get the chance. This blog isn’t about beauty only – it’s about lifestyle, travel, motivation, relationship, skincare, and fashion. To me, all these things constitute beauty, because beauty is in everything around us. Thank you again for the nomination!

The rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you in the post and link to their blog
  • Answer the 11 questions asked of you
  • List the rules and include the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post
  • Write a new list of 11 questions for your nominees
  • Nominate 11 bloggers for the Sunshine Blogger Award

My answers:

1.What is your favourite place ?
No surprise here – I love my home and my family, so it’s easily my favorite place to be. As for traveling, my favorite place so far is Istanbul.

2.What do you love to do in free time?
I love writing for my blog! Besides that – making desserts, doing pilates and yoga, watching interesting movies and series, walking, and online shopping and browsing.

3.What are your favourite colours and associated style?
If I’d have to pick three colors to wear for the rest of my life, it would be ivory, black, and pure red. To me they look classy and polished. Minimalistic yet creative. Another favorite color of mine is camel, which I associate with a classic wool coat.

4.What was the biggest surprise of your life?
Getting married before 30 – never thought I’d do it and yet here I am.

5.If you get to live with one thing what it would be?
If I approach this question from ‘what would I want to have if I’d be on a desert island’ kind of thing, I’d probably choose a pocket knife with lots of tools in it. If I approach this question from an everyday standpoint, I’d probably choose my laptop with Internet connection – it could let me work, communicate, learn, and be entertained all at once.
If I’d think about it from the standpoint of ‘what’s the only thing I need the most in life in general’ it would be my family.

6.What is your dressing preference?
I enjoy dressing up and I’d rather be overdressed than underdressed. In terms of style, I’d probably go for smart casual feminine style. Examples:

7.What was your favourite movie in 2019?
I was very much impressed by Joker, but after thinking about it, questioning the plot lines, etc, I decided that it’s simply too dark and I can’t count it as a ‘favorite’.
Favorite movie released in 2019, but I watched it recently – 1917.
Favorite movie released in 2019 and I watched it in 2019 – Motherless Brooklyn, even wrote a whole post about it.
Pretty good movies that I expected to be good to begin with: Parasite, John Wick: Chapter 3, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Disappointments of 2019: Avengers: Endgame (lazy writing with ‘we’ll just go back in time and fix it’ kind of thing), Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (a final nail in the coffin of the original Star Wars), Ad Astra (incredibly boring)

8.What do you hate the most?
I’ve been thinking for a while about this question and came to a conclusion that I don’t really hate anything or anyone. ‘Hate’ is a very strong word and for me it means a very negative emotion that consumes a person, which is something I consider quite dreadful. I can say that there are things I strongly dislike:
In everyday life: people who consider anyone’s opinion except their own invalid and disrespect other people’s views and opinions for no reason; rudeness; hate and prejudice against something without looking into it. Arrogance in general.
I can also say that I have a pet peeve about empty, vapid content and clickbait to an extent. For instance, article titled ‘how to have successful relationships’ talking only about the importance of honesty and communication – things that are common sense and don’t bring anything new to the table. To me this sort of content reads as empty words and only wastes my time, which is quite depressing.

Oh wait, I know! The only one thing I truly hate is when perfume companies discontinue or reformulate my favorite fragrances!! Looking at you, Valentino, for discontinuing my favorite ‘Donna’ 😠

9.What was the thought behind starting up blogging?
Just getting another outlet for my creative writing energy. If I don’t get it out there, my brain stagnates and I quickly get frustrated.
However, I never expected to find such an amazing blogging community here! Starting a blog was definitely a great decision and turned out to be so much more rewarding than I ever expected.

10.What did you learn on yourself during lock down?
That I’m pretty good at sewing masks 😊

11.Who is the pillar of strength in your life?
My Grandmother.

My Nominees:

Karen Faye Style
The Pecas
False Lashes and Fiction
Floating In Dreams
The Book and Beauty Blog
Chanelle Hayley
The Glitter Rebel
Mrs Strawberry Blonde
I wish I could nominate everyone who’d like to do this Award!

My questions:

1.What is your most favorite character in movies/TV shows/video games?
2.What are the 3 things you like about blogging the most?
3.Did your blog grow more or less as you’ve planned when you started blogging, or did it take a different route?
4.What historical period do you find the most fascinating and why?
5.What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
6.Imagine you’re about to launch a small business and have no limitations in funding, location, etc. What kind of business would you start?
7.Would you rather go to a music concert or stand up comedy show and which performer would you choose?
8.Do you have unpopular opinions? If so, what are they?
9.What’s your opinion about luxury industry? Are luxury brands worth the price?
10.Where do you get inspiration when writing for your blog?
11.If you could instantly remove one thing from the world to make it a better place, what would it be? It can be anything – something tangible, process, idea, emotion, a character trait.

Thank you Be Beautifuls for the nomination once again and everyone who took the time to read my take on this Award!
